Windsurfing: Brogborough Wind Direction: sw Wind Stength: 15- 40mph ! Surf / Sea State: chop Air Temperature: 8c Sea Temperature: cold Weather: sunny/ rain/ hail Max Speed: Distance Covered:
One of them days when what ever you rigged was wrong. The wind was really
up and down but not gusty.
I went for the middle ground and rigged a 6.3 after getting changed looked
at the windmeter it showed 35mph was thinks this is gonna be a challenge
but the time I walked across the car park there wasn't even a enough to
get going.
Let lots of down haul off and headed out got going ok due to the 150lt
board.
The wind steadily picked up til it was time to put the down haul back
on.
It still carried on picking up and things got very bouncy with 150lts under
myfeet as the chop picked up.
Changed down to 112 lt board didn't really have a good time on it sail
felt great on the larger board but felt awful on the sail board , Why? had
to move the harness lines back and raise the boom things a bit better but
not as comfortable.
Fluffed a gybe just as it got extra windy and rain hail everything came
through nearly got washed up inthe corner, was ready for walk of shame but
things eased and I sailed out of it. Had a few more runs on the small board
but things didn't feel right was just getting really tired couldn't get
the lines right.
Thankfuly things eased a little and got back on the big board for some good
blasting even getting some air off the chop.
The time on the small kit too my energy so decided to call it a day as
tacking or gybing I could hardy hold the sail.
